       Nestled along historic Motherlode Drive, P.J.’s Roadhouse in Placerville, (“Ol Hangtown”) serves as one of those traditional “must stops” for any and all Sierra travelers. With its original building being founded as a way station in the 1940’s, P.J.’s Roadhouse still unassumingly stands along side the historic trail used by the wagon trains of the California Gold Rush during the 1840’s. It was the only path through the Sierra wilderness on route Sacramento and later became the path of the fabled Pony Express (1860-1861).
        As a hub for El-Dorado County nightlife P.J.’s prides itself on attracting some of the world’s most renowned headlining acts like John Lee Hooker Jr. and Mick Martin along with legendary bands like Canned Heat, Nothing Personal and many, many more. But, if nightlife isn’t your gig, P.J.’s is also one of El-Dorado County’s most elaborate sports bars hosting 7 large screen TV’s to choose from, including a massive on stage 65 inch wide screen for the real sports enthusiast.
          If it’s the thunder of those great American escape machines you crave, you’ll find it at P.J.’s Road House. P.J.’s is not only the most biker friendly watering hole on the western slope of the Sierras but it’s also the home away from home of the legendary Boozefighters Motorcycle Club and hosts numerous biker events each year for the motorcycle enthusiast. P.J.’s also has a large separate room (free of charge) especially designed for those the more intimate wing dings like bachelor parties, private meetings or even that special corporate get together.
        P.J.’s generous daily drink specials are always off the hook, and don’t forget, Tuesdays and Thursdays are free pool at P.J.’s. Just choose between any of 3 regulation pool tables and play absolutely free, not to mention the shuffleboard, darts and more.
         With great food always available at P.J.’s you’ll never have to worry about working up an appetite either. If your in the mood for a good steak drop by P.J.’s on any Wednesday evenings between 5:00-8:00 P.M. and you can purchase a mouthwatering Rib Eye steak for only $9.00 with all the trimmings.
