Now Viewing:Hollister 2004

TOOK HIM AWHILE,  BUT HE MADE IT.

The Hollister Rally is more like a family gathering than a major motorcycle event. Walking into Johnny's Bar and seeing Gil Armas sitting there... walking into Huck's backyard and seeing Dago and Jim Cameron at the picnic table...it all shows just how immortal the entire aura of "The Original Wild Ones" is.

WITH FRIENDS.

Even the death of Marlon Brando during the rally proved, once again, that this isn't just a yearly biker run...this is a legendary meeting that transcends eras. It's truly something very special. It was special in '47 and it's special now. It is indeed "the birthplace of the American biker"...a birth that was nurtured by the founders of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club. Brando's passing at this particular time was looked at as being yet another integral part to a timeless legend that continues to grow...a legend and a tradition that we are all so fortunate to be able to carry on.

ADULT BEVERAGES IS A GOOD THING.

On Saturday night, at the Hollister Rally's main entertainment stage, the Boozefighters MC was given a "Lifetime Achievement Award" for being one of the two prominent clubs that had such an important effect on the entire biker culture. The award was accepted by CH 21 president, R.J. "Cowboy" Carter, on behalf of the entire club.

LoDown (the good lookin' one on the left) was on stage as this picture proves.

The official Hollister Rally DVD will also feature a powerful opening scene that was filmed exclusively with Boozefighters and Top Hatters. The film crew brought many members of both clubs out to a deserted road just outside of town and relived some of the raw energy that was still in the air from 1947.

Thanks to Huck and Margaret for their hospitality and thanks to all of the brothers, Boozettes, prospects and supporters who made the trip to "the birthplace of the American biker"...to the heart of the legend that is "The Original Wild Ones."
